What you should know about The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand
We have collaborative research relationships with other polytechnics as well as industry, stakeholders, universities and professional organisations. In 2011, the Open Polytechnic published the ODL eBook Open Learning for an Open World Reflections on Open and Distance Learning and Teaching at the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand. The Research Office oversees all research matters at the Open Polytechnic, and is headed by a Research Manager. We publish our research and provide profiles of our leading researchers annually.
All Life Cycle Assessment studies rely on estimations of the useful life of domestic items, and our study will provide the first investigation of the life of furniture and appliances in New Zealand homes. There is industry involvement in the development of most courses and programmes and close relationships are also maintained with appropriate professional and industry bodies. Since 1946 Open Polytechnic has been helping students from all over New Zealand change their lives through access to flexible distance learning. Legislation in New Zealand governing the preparation and dissemination of financial information may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
